JAMMU, Jan 5: Jamia Millia Islamia University defeated Jammu University cricket team by three wickets in the semi-final match in an ongoing All India Vice Chancellor’s Cup-2023 here today and entered into the final.
After batting first, the Jammu University team set a target of 166 runs on the loss of six wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Rajesh scored a brilliant 100; Sandeep Bakshi scored 25 and Amin scored 13. For Jamia Millia, Wahid took three wickets, Fareed took two and Adeel took one wicket in the match.
While chasing the target, Jamia Millia Islamia University team chased down the given target in 19.4 overs with the loss of seven wickets. Wahid scored 43, Adeel 48 and Sarfraz scored 43 runs for their team. Raj Kumar Bakshi took three wickets, Rajesh took two and Karan and Shantul took one wicket each for Jammu University.
