Srinagar’s Mountaineering Association holds election

SRINAGAR, Jan 11: The District Mountaineering Association Srinagar today held elections for its district body to promote responsibility, leadership qualities, nature study development, human relations and environmental preservation among the youth.
The spokesperson of the body said that the election, held in the Athwajan area of Srinagar and supervised by Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, a prominent local businessman and social worker, witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of various clubs within the district.  “Syed Mohammad Hussain, President of the District Mountaineering Association Pulwama, served as the observer from Pulwama during the elections. He ensured a fair and transparent process, emphasizing,” he said.
Regarding the election results, he mentioned, “The elections resulted in the unanimous election of dedicated individuals to key positions, naming Muzaffar Ahmad Mir as President, Mushtaq Ahmad Parrey as Vice President, Irshad Ahmad Mir as General Secretary, Adil Basir Rather as Joint Secretary and Tanveer Ahmad as Treasurer.”
He said The elected executive members include Muzamil Akhter, Roshni, Irfan Sofi, Amin Ul Aziz, and Arshad Majeed Bhat.
