Girl’s exhibition football match held

SAMBA, Jan 14: To promote girl’s sports, an exhibition football match was played between girls in Thalora Mandi of Samba here today. The match was organized by Chandan Football Club. The main objective of the event was to promote sports spirit among the girls.
Girls from Kathua, Hiranagar, Kootah and Samba participated in the football match. All these girls formed two teams among themselves and played the match. The teams were named Green and Yellow, in which the Yellow team won the match by 3-0. During the match, Manvika Sambyal, Sneha Rani and Shivali Devi scored one goal each to ensure victory for their yellow team.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Benam Tosh was chief guest while Additional Superintendent of Police Samba, Surinder Choudhary was guest of honour. Meanwhile, DySP Bhishem Dubey honoured winning and runner-up teams by giving them awards. Param Football Club coach Arun, coach Sunil Sandhu, Khelo India women’s coach Nitika Thapa, former Sarpanch Varinder Singh Lucky, former councillor Raj Singh, Prehlad Singh, Ramdev Singh, Vikas Sambyal, Indu Wazir, Subhash Singh,Keshav Singh, Aman Sambyal, Panku Singh and many other youth were also present on this occasion.
