JAMMU, Jan 15: The English Nest, a Spoken English & Personality Development Institute in Jammu has organised an event “Be Eloquent” for its students.
The event was held at the Institution of Engineers, Channi Himmat. The event showcased the commendable communication skills & stage presence of students of different schools who joined The English Nest under the mentorship of trainer Kanika Grover. There were two competitions as well. Describe your Masquerade for age groups 4-7 years.
Show your Eloquence for age groups 8-14 years where the students were provided with three different topics to share their opinion. The guests of honour were Aekta Gupta, Principal Government Degree College, HOD English Department and Sheezan Bhat, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
At the end, all the winners were applauded with trophies and certificates by guests of honour. The most incredible fact about this show was that the students of The English Nest hosted and conducted the entire event. The idea and motive to organise such an event for the first time in Jammu was to elevate the confidence of students, work on their public speaking skills & eliminate stage fear. Particularly for the students who don’t get an opportunity to display their talent in schools.
