JAMMU, Jan 16: A two-day long J&K-UT Junior Basketball Championship organised by the J&K Basketball Association at Mini Stadium Parade Ground, Jammu concluded here today.
Fifteen teams participated in the Championship in which 10 teams in the Men’s section and five Women’s sections. The women Championship was won by STC Warriors, Jammu District was placed first runner up and DPS Jammu was declared as the third runner up.
In the Men’s section Jammu District emerged as the Champion with KIC Udhampur bagged the first runners up place and APS Miran Sahib won second runners up spot.
Baljinderpal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer was the chief guest for the day. Surajbhan Singh, Manager Indoor Sports Complex and Judo Coach J&K was the guest of honour. The officials for the championship included Manoj Kumar Solanki, Rajesh Bandral and Vaneet Pangotra, Amit Kalsi and Vinod Dogra were also present there.
