JAMMU, Jan 16: Police claimed today that they have arrested a prisoner who had escaped from the custody.
Baldev Raj alias Raju of Bishnah, was arrested and booked under PIT NDPS Act, they said, adding that he escaped from the custody on September 15, 2023.
“Ever since he escaped, police had been working tirelessly to locate and bring the individual back into custody,” a police official said.
He said, finally the alleged drug peddler was arrested by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned.
Senior Superintendent of Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar, commended the dedicated efforts of the officers involved in the operation, emphasizing the commitment to combating drug-related activities in the community.
