JTC discusses demands

JAMMU, Feb 7: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president of the Committee expressed grave concern over the slackness of the authorities in  improving the power and water supply to the camp which has put the inmates to great hardships.
Mr Pandita appealed the Government to improve the power supply to the camp immediately failing which the camp inmates will be forced to come on National Highway in protest and launch hunger strike from February 14.
He also demanded supply of ration to ration dealers in Jagti and other camps and ensure its distribution before Maha Shivratri festival. He also demanded enhancement of ration quota, creation of 1000 class IV posts, holding of on spot recruitment drive in police, immediate completion of 40 bedded hospital, ensuring medical aid and redressal of all other demands.
