Different Institutions celebrate 75th Republic Day

Jammu, Jan 25: 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, patriotic and traditional fervour across Jammu region by different schools, colleges and other institutions here today.
Indian Army organised a comprehensive and impactful event at the serene Pir Topa village at Poonch. Ushering in Peace, Harmony and Development into the tiny and remote hamlet of Pir Topa, Indian Army and local villagers participated in a grand event that unfolded with a series of initiatives by the Indian Army to transform remote Pir Topa village into a Model Village.
Surbhi Nursery School and Day Care Centre, Department of Home Science Jammu University celebrated 75th Republic Day with great zeal and exhilaration here today. Commemorating our brave leaders who gave their lives to free our great nation, a Show and Tell presentation was organized on the occasion wherein the children came prepared with the famous slogans associated with our freedom fighters. Sanvi dressed up like ‘Rani Lakshmi Bai’, Ayansh Mahajan attired like ‘Bhagat Singh’, Bhavika Sharma as ‘Subhash Chandra Bose’ and Sehaj Kour as ‘Bharat Mata’. Prof. Samridhi Arora, Head, Department of Home Science congratulated all on the eve of Republic day.
Heritage School marked the 75th Republic Day with a spectacular celebration, showcasing the true spirit of patriotism and national pride. Vice Principal Rashmi Thakur emphasized the crucial role students play as future stakeholders of the nation and urged them to uphold the values of freedom, unity and democracy.
Republic Day was celebrated at K.C. College of Education. A rally was taken out from the college premises. The participants distributed Tirangas among the general public and also went door to door to make people aware of the patriotic values which have been achieved through sacrifices of great freedom fighters. The rally culminated back in the college where all assembled to pay respect to the National flag unfurled at the rooftop of the college by Dr Sanjay Tickoo, Principal of the college.
The Department of Botany at Cluster University of Jammu commemorated the 75th Republic Day with an enthusiastic celebration that seamlessly blended national pride with a dedicated commitment to environmental stewardship. The event witnessed a vibrant array of activities, symbolizing the unity of the nation and the department’s devotion to the principles of democracy.
The day commenced with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony, where students, faculty, and staff gathered in patriotic unison to honour the nation’s tricolour.
Government Degree College, Vijaypur celebrated Republic Day with great fervour and enthusiasm in the College premises. The program started with the welcome address by Prof Anita Jamwal, Convenor Cultural Committee where she briefed the audience regarding the importance of Republic day.
The whole event was coordinated by Prof. Ritu Bhagat and Prof. Poonam Kundan and co-coordinated by Dr Naseem Chowdhary, Dr Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr Radhika Rasyal, Prof. Renuka Kundal. Refreshment was also given to participants at the end of the function.
