Revive traditional sports in J&K: Manjit

SAMBA, Jan 28: Jammu Kashmir Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu and former Minister, Manjit Singh demanded revival of traditional sports among the youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
Manjit Singh along with Party leader Vishal Nariana inaugurated Kabaddi tournament at Smailpur Sports Stadium. In this Kabaddi tournament, approximately 13 teams from different areas are participating.
While meeting the players in the tournaments after its inauguration, Manjit Singh appreciated the organizer of the tournament for keeping the traditional sports activity alive among the youth.
He sought attention of the traditional sports so that they can be revived with the active participation of youth so that their energy can be channelized towards the right directions. “As the society is worried about the growing menace of drug addiction, the Govt, civil society and the Police Department should come together to encourage traditional sports and to keep them alive,” he added. Apni Party, Youth Wing District President, Samba, Mangat Ram, Block President Bari Brahmana, Irshan Choudhary and others were also present on the occasion.
