JAMMU, Jan 31: Pencak Silat Association J&K is going to conduct open selection trials for boys and girls of all age groups like pre-teen, sub-junior and senior prior to the participation of J&K teams in 1st All India Pencak Silat Championship 2023-24, which is scheduled to be held at Nanded, Maharashtra from February 17-19, 2024.
The trials will be held on February 7, 2024 at Sher-e- Kashmir Indoor Stadium, Srinagar.
As per a handout, a player should carry a valid ID proof and age proof duly recommendations by his/her district head along with declaration by parents and a Medical and Health & Insurance Certificate and other related documents like two passport size photographs.
After receiving all these documents, the player will be eligible for the selection trials.
Selection trials of vacant weight categories/class or event, if any, for the 7th Pencak Silat Federation Cup 2023-24 for Junior and Senior (males and females) will also be held during the trials on February 7, 2024, if any, athlete who had already played Junior National Pencak Silat Championship 2023 at Patna Bihar and Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2023 at Nashik Maharashtra may cancel participation on personal reasons.
The selected athletes will face the screening team of J&K Sports Council on February 8, 2024.
