BJP leader demands Degree College, ITI for Dachan

KISHTWAR, Feb 9: BJP leader from Dachan, Kishtwar Ravi Kumar Thakur today said that the Coalition Government has failed to fulfill the promises made with the people of the area.
In a statement issued here, today he said that the Government had promised to set up a Degree College in Dachan and the promise was made none other than the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah during his visit to the area soon after the formation of coalition in 2009 but it was not fulfilled.
He said that the Dachan Higher Secondary School which was established in 1984 sans staff.
He expressed concern over the failure of the State Government in enhancing the salaries of the VDC members and SPOs and demanded that a decision be taken in this regard at an earliest.
He also expressed concern over the condition of roads and said that Puchal and Kuleet road are in worst condition. He demanded ITI and polytechnic colleges for the area.
