JAMMU, Feb 1: In the ongoing 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship organized by J&K Police, seven matches were played in male and female categories here today.
First match of the day was played between Rajasthan police and Maharashtra police in which Rajasthan emerged victorious by 7-2 goals. Vijendra Singh Rathore was declared player of the match for his brilliant performance. Chief Guest of the match was Reyaz Iqbal Tantray, Deputy Commandant IRP-16th Battalion.
In the second match of the day played between Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka which was won by Karnataka police by 4-1. Mankanta was declared as player of the match. Chief Guest of the match was Ramesh Chander Kotwal Commandant IRP-1st Battalion.
In a match between Puducherry and West Bengal, West Bengal won by 4-1 goals. Player of the match was declared Dipendu Das and chief guest of the match was Rakesh Kumar Parihar, Deputy Commandant IRP -16th Battalion.
In another match of the day played between RPF and CRPF in which CRPF won by 11-0 goals. Player of the match was Bikash Kujur for his brilliant performance by scoring four goals. The Chief Guest of the match was Aftab Ahmad Sheikh Deputy Commandant, JKAP-6th Battalion.
Tamil Nadu defeated Haryana Police by 4-0 goals. Player of the match was Bala Murugan. Chief Guest of the match was Mohd Aslam, Deputy Commandant 1st Women Battalion.
In the women’s category match played between Uttar Pradesh and SSB, in which SSB team won by 2-0 goals.  Player of the match was declared Rajni Bala for her brilliant performance. Chief Guest of the match was Surjeet Kumar Bhagat Deputy Commandant, IRP-15th Battalion.
In another match played between Maharashtra Police and Odisha Police, Odisha clinched victory by 4-0 goals. Player of the match was declared Priyaka for her brilliant performance. Chief Guest of the match was Rajinder Salgotra Deputy Commandant.
