Press Club defeats Shiv Sena by 25 runs

JAMMU, Feb 9: In a friendly 20-20 over cricket match between Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit and Press Club Jammu played at Nagrota Sports Ground, Press Club won by 25 runs.
Press Club Captain Naveen Kaul won the toss and decided to bat first and set a huge target of 213 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Shiv Sena team failed to chase the score and managed only 188 runs after losing three wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of Press Club, Rupesh played an excellent inning of 60 runs while Naveen Koul scored 38 runs and Varun scored 32 runs. While on behalf of Shiv Sena, opener Vipul scored 76 runs in 44 balls, Akarsh scored 44 runs, Shiv Sena Captain Manish Sahni scored 9 runs in 6 balls. Rupesh Kumar and Vipul were jointly declared as man of the match.
Vice President of Press Club Zorawar Singh and retired Information Officer Satish Sahni were present as chief guests. The captain and team of the Press Club were given the winner trophy while the team of Shiv Sena Captain Manish Sahni was given the runner trophy. As a token of thanks Shiv Sena Captain Manish Sahni presented certificates of participation to all the players.
