Inter-School Symposium on Road Safety held

KATHUA, Feb 13: In an effort to address the pressing issue of road safety in urban areas, the J&K Private Schools Coordination Committee in collaboration with the Regional Transport Office, Kathua organized an Inter-School Symposium on Road Safety. The symposium held under the theme “Enhancing Urban Road Safety: Innovations, Policies and Community Engagement” took place at Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Kathua.
The Inter-School Symposium on Road Safety served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas, reaffirming the collective commitment towards creating safer road environments for all. Kewal Krishan, Regional Transport Officer presided as the Chief Guest, and Jugal Kishore Sharma, Additional Transport Officer was the Guest of Honour. The presence of Jatinder Singh, Motor Vehicle Inspector, added further significance as a Special Guest.
Principal Nav Adarsh and General Secretary JKPSCC Riti Prakash Singh Katal setting the tone for the event. The participating students demonstrated exemplary performances, showcasing their understanding and commitment to road safety initiatives.
RTO Kathua, Kewal Krishan, shed light on the alarming issues surrounding road safety and emphasized the collective responsibility of communities, policymakers, and individuals in ensuring safer roads for all. His insights provided a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and potential solutions in the realm of urban road safety. Satpal Badyal, President JKPSCC, Kathua, expressed gratitude on behalf of the organizing committee and extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all participants, supporters, and contributors for their invaluable contributions to the symposium. Mementoes were awarded to all participating students as token of appreciation for their active involvement and contributions to the cause of road safety.
