7 teachers awarded Educational Achievers Award

JAMMU, Feb 16 : Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises organized the Educational Rockstar Achievers Awards 23-24 in partnership with Chief Education Office, Jammu. 40 teachers were nominated for the final jury round among which seven teachers bagged awards in two categories – Primary/ Elementary and Secondary/Senior Secondary.
Bharti Foundation initiated the Educational Rockstar Achievers Awards (ERA) for teaching innovations in India. Under ERA Awards, Bharti Foundation recognizes teachers’ innovation and best practices in the field of education. Educational Rockstar Acheivers Awards’ has been organized by Bharti Foundation across government schools in selected states, including Jammu & Kashmir every year.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagdeep Kumar Padha, Chief Education Officer, Jammu, said, “The ERA Awards not only recognizes teachers for their innovations, but it is also a platform for teachers throughout the district to compete, and showcase their goodwork. He appreciated Bharti foundation for conducting the whole event of ERA Awards successfully and for the great work they have been able to do in partner Govt. schools of Jammu district. He said, “Our association with Bharti Foundation has helped us in organizing the awards smoothly.”
Anil Bhat , Regional Head Bharti Foundation on this occasion said that it is our endeavor to support and recognize best practices of the educators and make teaching learning process interactive and enjoying experience for students.
Ravinder Kour , Principal GGHSS Bakshi Nagar and Dr Kishore Sharma Principal GHSS while speaking on the occasion appreciated the work of teachers in making of innovative TLM’s and also applauded the work of Bharti Foundation iin partner Govt schools of district Jammu.
The teachers who received awards under the Primary/Middle category were Indu Angotra from GGMS Gajansoo who was awarded first prize, Sucharu Sharma GMS Rattian received the second position, Suruchi Gupta and Shruti from GHS MS Pind Charkan Kalan and GHS Katal Batal were awarded the third position. In the secondary/senior secondary category,Madhavi Khujuria from GGHSS Dablehar was awarded the first position, Dr Heena from GHSS Gundla bagged the second position,Shafali Gupta from GHSS Marh received the third position.
