JAMMU, Feb 17: In connection with the birthday celebration of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Ji Maharaj on February 24, a grand Shobha Yatra is being taken out in Jammu City on February 22.
Addressing a press conference here today, Piran Ditta, president of All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha said that 647th Birthday of Guru Ravi Dass Ji will be celebrated with great enthusiasm at Gurudwara Krishna Nagar, Canal Road Jammu on Feb 24. The programme will commence at 11 am on Saturday.
Piran Ditta disclosed that like every year, this year also a grand Shobha Yatra will be taken out in connection with the birthday celebrations of great Guru on Feb 22. He said the Shobha Yatra (Jhanki) will start from Krishna Nagar Temple of the Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj at around 11 am and after passing through various Markets and Bazaars of the City, will culminate at Krishna Nagar, the place of origin.
He further disclosed that various Sangeet parties and prominent singers from Jammu and outside will participate in the programme. A community Langar will also be organised for the Sangat. Sabha president appealed to all the devotees to participate in the Shobha Yatra. He also appealed to the social organisations and Bazaar committees to welcome the Shobha Yatra.
Several other members of Guru Ravi Dass Sabha were also present on the occasion.
