Srinagar, Feb 15: High Court today directed the Chief Secretary of the State to file status report of the solid waste management in Achan dumping site.
A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justice Hasnain Masoodi and Justice Tashi Rabstan directed the CS and other stakeholders to file the status report.
Hearing a public interest litigation filed by a law student Farah Khan, the Bench pulled up the State, saying that none of the stake holders except CEO ERA and SMC have filed the status report.
All the entire stake holders were earlier directed by the court to file status report on solid waste management on the dumping site after public outcry erupted over pollution and bad odour emanated from the site.
