JAMMU, Feb 15: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front held a motorcycle rally (Duggar Chetna Rally) to commemorate the great Duggar heroes and sons of soil who made the supreme sacrifices for defending the mother land.
Flagging off the rally, JKDF State president Anil Gupta said, creation of new Jammu will only be realized by following the steps of great heroes and sons of soil who have rendered supreme sacrifices for the motherland. “February 19 will have a significant importance for all of us, as on this day JKDF came into existence.”
The rally was led by Munish Khajuria (State president JKDF youth wing) followed by hundreds of youth wing activists on two wheelers and four wheelers with the JKDF flags in their hands.
Motorcycle, scooter and car born youth with JKDF flags in their hands participated in the rally to convey the message of building a “new Jammu with a new vision”. Earlier, the rally was flagged off by JKDF State president Anil Gupta from Gandhi Nagar in presence of senior JKDF leaders and activists among raising of “Jai Jammu, Jai Jammu and Kashmir” slogans.
The rally which pass through different areas and Bazars of Jammu city was accorded warm welcome by people at Jewel Chowk, Raghunath Bazar, Purani Mandi, Sunder Singh Road before it culminate at Resham Ghar Colony.
The senior JKDF leaders and Youth Wing activists who took part in the rally are Murari Lal Balgotra, Surinder Sharma, Ashok Gandhi, Gulshan Rattan, Ankush Sharma, Virender Jamwal, Sachin Nargotra, Varinder Thakur, Dushant Kumar, Naveen Sharma, Anil Balgotra, Abhishek Slathia and others.
The rally was orgainsed to gather the mass support for February 19 rally on eve of Dogra Day.
