JAMMU, Feb 15: Army Public School Jammu Cantt organised Annual Art and Craft Exhibition ‘Art O’ Mania’ here today.
The Exhibition displayed exuberant expression of the budding artists and entailed spectacular exhibits which included paintings, wall hangings, variety of pots, designer candles, models of paper machie and many more interesting artefacts.
Chief guest, Usha Singh, president Family Welfare Organisation, 26 Inf Div inaugurated the Exhibition in an impressive function, while Brig J S Rajpurohit, chairman APS Jammu Cantt was the guest of honour.
The Principal of the School, Anu Jandial, the teachers and parents of the participating students were also present on the occasion.
Amidst loud cheering and clapping the chief guest and the guest of honour lighted the traditional lamp.
The entire Jammu Cantt school campus came to life with kaleidoscopic designs of various colours and hues. The hard work and dedication with which the projects were made was evident in their beauty and precision.
The artwork on display of classes I to V included Origami, wall hanging with ice-cream sticks, birthday caps, photo frames and most outstanding projects were made from waste material.
The senior students of class VI to VIII showcased their talent in canvas painting, pencil sketching, tie and dye, kites, glass painting and greeting cards. Not only the beauty of the craft items was amazing but also the manner in which they were presented was exquisite and enthralling.
Mrs Usha interacted with the students who very excitedly explained the work they had put up.
She said that engaging children in artistic endeavours helps them to improve hand-eye coordination, hone their skills and enables them to develop their aesthetic sense.
The Chairman of the School, Brig JS Rajpurohit commended the efforts of students and teachers for putting up a remarkable presentation of art work.
