JAMMU, Feb 23: Rider of a two wheeler was killed after his Scooty hit roadside iron railing in the outskirts of Jammu city today.
Police sources informed that the ill fated Scooty bearing registration number JK02BS/8918 was driven by Mela Ram, son of Mani Ram, resident of Kothi Morh, Bishnah.
It was moving from Sohanjana to Mira Sahab via Ring Road in a rash and negligent manner and the rider failed to control the two wheeler which hit iron railing along the road in Sohanjana leaving the rider critically injured.
Passersby shifted him to CHC Sohanjana where medicos declared him dead on arrival.
After completing the legal formalities, body of the deceased was handed over to his family members for performing last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
