JAMMU, Feb 16: State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, this afternoon, ordered transfers and postings of two IAS and four KAS officers.
Sanjeev Verma, Secretary to the Government, Bureau of Public Enterprises and Floriculture Departments, will also be the Administrative Secretary of the Horticulture Department.
Sushma Chauhan, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, vice Kuldip Lal Khajuria.
Kuldip Lal Khajuria, Vice-Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, has been transferred and posted as Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, vice Arun Kumar Sharma.
Mohammad Sadiq Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner (Central) in the office of the Financial Commissioner, Revenue, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, against an available vacancy.
Arun Kumar Sharma, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Forest Department. Bashir Ahmad Khan, Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Kashmir, against an available vacancy.
The Cabinet also approved setting up of 1000 additional Anganwadi Centres under the scheme “Anganwadi-on-Demand on adhoc basis”, in the State under Integrated Child Development Scheme and engagement of 1000 honorary Anganwadi workers and 1000 honorary Anganwadi Helpers to man these centres.
The Cabinet considered and approved the draft Bills titled Jammu and Kashmir Civic Laws (Special Provisions) Bill and J&K Wild Life (Protection) Bill besides introduction of the Jammu and Kashmir Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill in the State Legislature during the ongoing Budget Session.
According to the sources, the Cabinet also discussed inclusion of items of expenditure in revolving fund of the Government Medical Colleges and other Associated Hospitals at Srinagar and Jammu.
“The Medical Education Department wants inclusion of the proceeds of investigation charges/tests to the extent of 75% on X-Ray, Physiology Lab, Anatomy Lab, Pharmacology Lab, Gastroenterology Lab, Neurology Lab, Cath Lab, ICU services and Opthalmology Research Lab to be met within the available dispensation of the revolving fund”, sources said, adding “a consensus was emerged on this issue in this regard in the Cabinet”.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the transfer of State land measuring 64 kanals, situated in village Amnoo, Tehsil and District Kulgam and 70 Kanals and 03 Marlas of State / Private acquired land situated in village Janglote and Chak Luddan, Tehsil and District Kathua, on lease basis to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Union Ministry of HRD.
