JAMMU, Feb 28: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) under the leadership of Federation president, Sushil Sudan met Dr. Tabasum Jabeen, Director Family Welfare, Immunization and MCH.
The deputation demanded release of the salary of 2211 Head pending for the last 6 months.
Deputation members said that Female Multipurpose Health Workers and other employees drawing salary from 2211 Head are facing tremendous problems due to non-release and disbursement of salary and are at the verge of starvation.
Sudan urged the Director to resolve the long standing issue of salary and ensure it is paid regularly otherwise the medical employees will be forced to adopt the path of agitation.
The Director listened to the grievances and assured that the matter will be resolved at the earliest.
The deputation included Anita Bhagat, senior vice president; Sapna Gupta, general secretary, Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers; Kulwant Singh and others.
