JAMMU, Feb 17: Volunteers of National Youth Corps (NYC) from J&K today staged a massive dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi seeking intervention of Dr Manmohan Singh to regularize their services.
In a memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister of India the protesting NYC Volunteers, urged the PM for his immediate intervention to regularize all the NYC Volunteers deployed in various departments of J&K.
As, the rules and regulations of the NYC scheme could not help us to continue our regular studies our future career got sealed forever, therefore we urge the PM to intervene to save our careers, the protesting NYC Volunteers said.
Meanwhile, Prof Bhim Singh visited the protesting site of NYC Volunteers, extended their support to them and made a strong appeal to PM for his immediate intervention in the interest of justice for the NYC volunteers without any delay.
