JAMMU, Mar 2: Dewan Badrinath (DBN) Vidya Mandir Amarvilla Kindergarten celebrated Annual Sports Day with pomp and show by participating in different sports activities.
Principal, Ranju Malhotra and Assistant Manager Trust DBN Amarvilla Darshan Lal Sharma declared the Sports meet open by releasing white balloons to symbolize the free spirit of a child and the boundless potential to spread out their wings to explore the world around them.
The principal shared a brief report of the school’s sports activities and achievements of students and the school. The first activity was the sprint for UKG boys and girls, which was then followed by the Hurdle Relay race. The children in the nursery participated in activities such as racing to school; a caterpillar race, a race based on their favourite cartoon character, and a game called feed the shark.
The LKG children had fun feeding the monkey, rabbit, and participating in a running race. The children in UKG demonstrated their speed in the 50-meter race. In general, the children displayed the five qualities important in sports – Spirit, Stamina, Speed, Strength, and Skill. It was touching to see the purity of these young children, who were completely focused on reaching the finish line together, rather than individually. Later, the winners were awarded medals.
