JAMMU, Mar 4: Government Degree College (GDC) Nagrota released its maiden newsletter ‘Ballini’ here today.
The newsletter was released by Director Colleges, Higher Education Department, Dr Yasmeen Ashai at the college campus. She was formally welcomed by the Ex-Principal of the College Dr Nalini Pathania and her successor Prof. Anjali Mahajan.
Director Colleges elaborated on the benefits of NEP-2020; she said that NEP has empowered the students to choose from a spectrum of subjects of their interest. She also expressed her satisfaction on the smooth functioning of the college with limited infrastructure and hoped with the upcoming campus
Editor of the newsletter Prof. Ritu Dewan elaborated the making and efforts that shaped Ballini to its form and shape. Few students also expressed their views on how opening of GDC Nagrota since 2019 has given the students from adjacent areas an opportunity to receive higher education. The entire programme was organized by Prof. Radha Rani, others present were Prof. Shalini Raina Convenor Cultural Committee, Prof. Shakti Prakash, Prof. Deshbhandhu, Prof. Neetu Singh, Prof. Vandana Ghai, Prof. Ritu Dewan, Prof. Aanchal Sharma, Prof. Sonika Sen, Prof. Avtaar Singh, Prof. Radha Rani and Prof. Sunita Rajput and Prof. Renu Kumari.
