*Different field events held on Day-2

JAMMU, Mar 6: Different sporting activities held on the second day of the ongoing 46th Annual Inter-Collegiate Athletic meet (Men & Women) 2023-24 at University Synthetic Track, being organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
On the first day of the Athletic Meet the energy and enthusiasm displayed by the athletes and spectators were truly remarkable. In addition to the track and field events, spectators can look forward to witnessing captivating field events such as the 100m, 200m, 400m 800m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, 10,000m, 1500m, long jump, shot put, Discus Throw and Javelin Throw. Each event presents its own set of challenges, requiring precision, strength, and technique from the competitors.
The results in Javelin Throw-(Men) Rajnesh Singh of PG. Department of Jammu University and in women category Muna Devi of Government Degree College Ramkote won gold medals. In Shot-Put (Men) gold medal was won by Mohd. Azam PG Department Jammu University while in women Muskan Kour of Dogra Degree College won gold. In the 10,000 Meter Men and women category, Shamshair Singh of GDC Udhampur in men and Sakshma Jasrotia of GDC Samba in women categories won gold medals.
In 800 Meter (Men) gold won by Saksham Jasrotia of GDC Samba while in women category gold won by Tanu Devi of GDC Ramkote. In Long Jump (Men) gold was secured by Ritik Singh of Trikuta College andTaniya Sharma of GDC Poonch.
In Triple Jump (Men) gold was secured by Zahid Rehman of P.G Department Jammu University while women category Taniya Devi of GDC Billawar secured the gold.
