Samba, Feb 19: In order to strengthen Police-Public relations and to promote sports activities among the youth, Samba Police has organized Cricket Tournament under the Civic Action Programme at the ground opposite Government Degree College here.
Anil Magotra, SP Samba declared the tournament opened, welcomed the participating teams and advised all the players to maintain sportsman spirit during the tournament.
A match between Sangwali Mandi Samba and Narendra Cricket Club, Gurha Slathia has been played and team from Sangwali Mandi Samba emerged winner.
Vijay Pal Singh, Dy. SP HQ Samba, Inspector Ravinder Singh, SHO P/S Samba, District Sport Officer, Samba and other prominent citizens of Sub-Division Samba were also present on the occasion.
During inauguration of Cricket Tournament, SP Samba stressed on channelizing the energy of the youth towards constructive activities.
