BSP demands ownership right for farmers on agri-lands

R.S PURA, Mar 8: BSP State president, Darshan Rana has claimed that the Government is taking back the agricultural land which the farmers of Nandpur village were cultivating for long.
During a protest demonstration here today Rana termed it as a big injustice with the farmers and demanded ownership rights to the farmers on the land they were cultivating for the last many years.
“All the affected families of farmers belong to Dalit community and they are cultivating these lands for the last many generations but now the Government is putting boards on these lands declaring it as Government land,” Rana maintained adding: “The affected families are protesting peacefully for the last several days but till now none of the authority has taken a cognizance of it.” The BSP leader said that Government should do justice with the affected families as soon as possible else BSP will be forced to organize a big movement in coming days.
Raja Singh, Bishan Das Bhagat, Tilak Raj, Tarsem Lal, Ratan Lal, Tilakraj Bhagat, Gurudev Raj and others were also present in the protest.
