REASI, Feb 20: A Volleyball tournament was organised by District Police Reasi at Sports Stadium Reasi under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP), here today.
8 teams participated in the event.
Earlier, Kalka-A defeated District Police Reasi, Kalka-B got better of STC Talwara, RBC Club Reasi defeated IRP 1 Bn and Salal prevailed over CRPF.
The final match was played between RBC Club Reasi and Kalka-A Reasi in which RBC Club Reasi emerged as the winner.
The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5000 besides, uniform kits to each players alongwith trophy and medals.
The runner-up team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 3000 alongwith trophy and medals.
Uniform kits were also awarded to the referees of the tournament whereas the commentators were awarded with trophies.
SP Reasi Vivek Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion, while District Sports Officer Reasi, Dr Swaran Singh Chib was guest of honour.
Chief guest in his address praised the sportsmanship qualities of the youth of Reasi and assured that such programmes will be a part of District Police Reasi alongwith the normal Policing.
DySP Hqrs Reasi, Mushtaq Choudhary; Jugal Kishore, DySP DAR Reasi and Ishtyaq Ahmed Kacho, DySP were also present on the occasion.
