Jammu’s Khelo India Centers Trainees receive New Sports Kits

JAMMU, Mar 15: The kit distribution function was held at MA Stadium Jammu here today in which the trainees of District Jammu Khelo India Centers of Soft Tennis, Table Tennis and Hockey Centers received their new sports kits.
Following the proper verification of their individual NSRS / KID ID’s, the distribution process was held under the supervision of Chief Sports Officer JKSC, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, High Performance Coach COE, Chief Coach Judo & Football JKSC, and Nodal Officer KI JKSC.
The trainees at these centers received about 100 brand-new sports kits which included a tracksuit, shirt, shorts, stockings, shoes, and a kit bag. The same kits would be given out to the other districts as well, each of which has five Khelo India Centers in every district. With 100 Khelo India Centers, J&K is fortunate to hold the distinction of being the first in the entire country.
The statement said the J&K Sports Council is operating all 100 Khelo India Centers (KICs) and the two Centers of Excellence in Water Sports and Fencing, wherein around 120 past champion Athletes have been provided jobs of mentors in the last few years.
