JAMMU, Mar 20: BSB Hockey Club Poonch clinched the Open Hockey Tournament title at KK Hakku Hockey Stadium, here today.
The final match was played between MBS Hockey Club Simbal and BSB Hockey Club Poonch which was won by BSB Club by 5-3. Both teams showcased stellar performances, with excellent stick work.
Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy CM J&K was present as a Chief Guest on the occasion. Zahid Shabir from BSB club Poonch was awarded as man of the match. Among others present were Rajinder Singh (Former President Hockey India), G.S Bakshi, Rajinder Koul and many other dignitaries.
Match was officiated by a technical panel of Balmeet Singh, Ranjeet Singh, Iqbal Singh (NIS Hockey Coach J&K Police), Gurjit Singh (Former International Hockey player & Hockey coach J&K Police) and Ishtyak.
