JAMMU, Feb 22: For boosting up the competitive spirit amongst the student community, an Inter-School French Poetry Recitation Competition was organized by KC Gurukul Public School Paloura, today.
6 schools namely Delhi Public School, KC International, Banyan International, Jodhamal Public School, Heritage School and KCGPS Paloura participated in the event.
The panel of four judges namely Shilpa, Pragati Chadda, Monika Gupta, Megha Sharma judged the competition.
Vandana Sharma HoD of English Deptt SMVDU was the chief guest on the occasion, while Mamta Sharma was the guest of honour. Speaking on this occasion, the chief guest complimented the students and the teachers for preparing them so well for this competition.
She said that such competitions should be held every now and then for the boost up the confidence among the students.
Principal of KCGPSP, Dr B R Dogra addressed the gathering and also presented the vote of thanks.
First prize was bagged by Abhijyot Singh of Jodhamal Public School; Mukul Bakshi from the host school got the second prize. Shransh Tyagi of Banyan International and Insha Dawood of Delhi Public School stood third. Consolation Prizes were given to Jaideep of Heritage School and Damini Pandita of KC International.
