JAMMU, Feb 22: Baden Powel Day was celebrated with full gusto and enthusiasm in the school premises. Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides participated in Day Camp along with their Scout Masters and Guide Captains. The chief guest on this occasion was Dr R Prasad, host Principal. He was given guard of honour by Colour Party. Principal Dr R Prasad accompanied by Vice Principal Basanti Khamnpa, Senior most teacher Vikramaditya, Headmistress Usha Koul, Guide Captain Neeta Moten and District Organising Commissioner Sanjay Kohli. Principal Dr R Prasad and Vice Principal were presented bouquets. After garlanding of portrait of Baden Powel, lighting of lamp was performed. After Flag hoisting and Prayer a colourful cultural programme was presented by Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides. Speech was given by Ujjwal IX A on Thinking day. Different yells were presented by Scout Masters. Raman Kumar, PK Shukla, Ravi Kant and Lakhbir Singh. Pyramids by Guides and Scouts were main attraction. After distribution of refreshment Drawing, Knots and First-Aid Competitions were organized. Story telling by cubs and bulbuls was appreciated by all. In the last the Scouts and Guides were divided into groups in which there was competition of writing of Flag Song, Prayer and Laws etc. Principal Dr R Prasad in his speech emphasized that Scout and Guides is a movement of National, International and Universal character. District Organizing Commissioner, Sanjay Kohli proposed vote of thanks.
