JAMMU, Mar 23: J&K Sports Speed Ball Association conducted, in a function organized today at Police Line Railway Station Jammu, flagged off 9 players for the upcoming 1st National Wall Ball Championship and Training Seminar to be held at Sirsa in Haryana from 24th to 26th March.
The Championship is being organized by Indian Wall Ball Association. All Players were accorded a warm send off by the Association and GRP Jammu. On the occasion, Shailender Singh (SSP Railways), vice president of the Association, was the chief guest.
Pooja Malhotra (founder patron of the Association), Munish Gupta (vice president of Association) and Pushpinder Singh Charak (member of Association) were also present on the occasion.
The selected team was finalized under the guidelines of Sunny Nanda, general secretary JKSSB and chief co-ordinator SPAA India. Renu Devi and Gurvansh Choudhary are leading players of the team.
On the occasion, Pooja Malhotra (founder patron of Association) distributed sports kits like T-shirt and rackets among all the selected players. The team includes Sushant Thakur (DHSS), Ranveer Singh (JSS), Rehaan (JSS), Prafful Kumar (JSS), Rajveer Singh (RMPS), Rakshit Bali (SNS), Vinayak Sharma (CPS), Aashish Padha (CPS) and Prakshit Sharma (SPS).
The Gold Medalist of the Championship will be entitled to play in the World Wall Ball Championship at Ireland to be held in the month of August.
