JAMMU, Feb 23: The inhabitants of Patoli Brahmana including Sharda Colony and Sarswati Vihar have expressed grave concern over water scarcity in the area.
In a statement issued through Dr Ramesh Bhat a social activist the residents said that they have been facing the water crisis for several days and in view of Maha Shivratri festival the authorities are not taking pains in restoring the water to the area.
The statement said that the problem is often being faced by the residents of the area and despite their repeated pleas to PHE authorities to find an everlasting solution to the problem they are sleeping over the issue.
The residents in an appeal to PHE Minister Sham Lal Sharma have sought his immediate intervention in the matter and urged him to issue directives to the authorities to restore water supply in the localities in view of Maha Shivratri festival.
