Jammu District Boxing C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Mar 27: Jammu District Boxing Championship organized by J&K Amateur Boxing Association under the aegis of Boxing Federation of India, J&K Olympic Association and sponsored by J&K Sports Council concluded here today at Indoor Sports Complex MA Stadium. The medals and certificates were awarded to meritorious boxers by Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer J&K Sports Council (JKSC) Jammu in the presence of Suraj Bhan Singh Manager Indoor Sports Complex Jammu. The officials assisted the association for smooth conduct of the championship including Anil Wadhera Senior Boxing Coach, Sajad Pathan National Qualified Referee, Rajesh Dogra, Aman Sangral, Avinash Sharma, Harivender Pal Singh, Sandeep Singh, Akash Sharma, Rahul Kumar, Vinod and Vinay Partap Singh. The results in different categories were (Sub Junior) category Kameshwar won gold in 43 kg, Rohit Sharma clinched Gold in 46 kg. Aakar Bhagat (Junior) won gold in 46 kg, Vishesh Singh won gold in 50 kg, Kulveer Singh won gold in 57 kg, Smyle Sandhu in 60 kg, Shivan Khajuria won gold in 80 kg. Naarayan Manjotra (Youth) won gold in 54 kg; 60 kg Gold won by Raghav Pabha, in 63.5 kg Gold medal was won by Rajneesh Kumar, in 71 kg gold won by Manish. In the senior category 51 kg gold won by Mohd. Wani, 54 kg gold won by Piyush Dabgotra, 60 kg gold won by Rahul Kumar, 63.5 kg gold won by Mahesh Kumar, 67 kg gold won by Gourav Mehra, 71 kg by Pritham Balgotra, 75 kg by Ranyodh Charak, in the 80 kg gold won by Ravi Kumar and 86 kg won by Harsh Dev Singh.
