Tawi Trekkers J&K holds short trek expedition

JAMMU, Mar 30: To promote heritage sites, about 150 students of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar and about 50 students of St. Xavier Convent Senior Secondary School, Barnai Jammu participated in a short trek to Devi Pindian organised by Tawi Trekkers J&K.
Sonam Sidharth, General Secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K and a seasoned organiser of such treks led the group of   trekkers along with trained mountaineers Shilpa Charak & Sunil Chakharia, Prerna Charak, Vikas Singh, Suksham Verma and Ananjan Raghav Khajuria.
Advisor of the Club Ram Khajuria, Ashpreet Kour, President of Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar along with three student group leaders Saloni Kumari,Diya Chib and Mehak Sharma besides three teachers of St Xavier Convent Sr. Secondary School Meenu Badam,  Meenakshi and Anita also accompanied the trekkers.
During the day-long venture the young adventurers besides enjoying the breathtaking views of the sacred Trikuta Mountain and the Jhajjar rivulet whose pristine waters originate from Devi Pindian.
