Vedant clinches Golf C’ship in Jammu

JAMMU, Apr 6: Bringing laurels, a 23-year-old Golfer Vedant Handa has won the coveted Golf Championship here today.
Over 100 elite golfers from all over Jammu and Kashmir competed in the Golf Championship, which was hosted by the Golf Federation of India (GFI) at the Jammu Tawi Golf Course, which is situated in Sidhra on the outskirts of the city. The tournament was hailed as one of the most esteemed events in the sport.
During the event, Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner Secretary, Tourism J&K was the Chief Guest who took centre stage to present the coveted award to the winners.  Vedant Handa’s outstanding performance allowed him to dominate the course with a breathtaking display of skill. He won the championship by two over par.
Manav Gupta, secretary of the Jammu Tawi Golf Course, underscored the significance of advancing sports tourism in the area and praised the efforts of the Golf Federation of India in putting together such a prestigious event. He praised the players for their commitment and ability, emphasizing their part in raising golf’s profile in India.
