JKP to face Singh Club Akhnoor in opening tie of Gharota T20

JAMMU, Feb 26: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) XI will lock horns with Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor on February 28, 2014 in the inaugural match of the 1st Drug Free Youth Gharota T20 Cricket Tournament, to be organized by Country Cricket Academy at Academy ground, here.
Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal will be the chief guest in the inaugural ceremony who will declare the Tournament open, while Mohd Arif Rishu, Commandant J&K Police 7 Battalion will preside over the function.
24 teams including the prominent clubs-KCCC, JCC, RCC Srinagar, KCC, Shastri CC and Trikuta CC are participating in the Tournament, which is being held under the overall supervision of former Ranji Trophy all-rounder,Vivek Sharma, Director Country Cricket Academy.
