JAMMU, Apr 10: To select players for the upcoming National Chess Championships, Jammu Division selection trials were conducted here today at Nek Hotel Jammu. The event was conducted in Under-7 (Boys) and Under-17 (Boys and Girls) categories for upcoming national championship.
The event was conducted by the Jammu division selection committee under the supervision of chairman selection committee SP Sharma, former seven times state champion. Bindu Pathania was the chief Arbiter of the events while Arvindu Sharma was giving technical support.
Earlier the event was inaugurated by Baldev Raj, President All J&K Chess Association. The selection trial was conducted as per FIDE laws of chess with the Swiss system.
