Goenka organizes Science Exhibition

JAMMU, Mar 1: G D Goenka Public School, Jammu,Governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust, organized Fair of Wonders-The Environmental Sciences Exhibition in its School premises, here.
Live models were put on display.  The universe was depicted wonderfully by darkening the room and using artificial lights.  The concept of solar system was explained in detail.
The students moved around as the planets in solar system and explained how day and night are formed.
The models of different types of houses were put on display in the background of a live forest which was created using different materials.
The animals in the forest pleading to save them and their habitat touched the visitors.
The concept of ‘People Who Help Us’ was creatively shown with a farm, a hospital and a house under construction.
The little seamstress stitching clothes and the fashion designers speaking about the different cuts in the dresses gave a boost to fashion morale of the ladies present there.
The facts regarding scarcity of water were brought forth by depicting different ways in which we pollute water.
Different seasons were shown with life size models which enlivened the room and gave us the feel of the season that was depicted.
‘Save the Earth’ which is the need of the hour was stressed upon by the students.
The parents and other visitors appreciated the efforts of the teachers and were happy to see the students participating in the event.
Principal, Jyoti Asija in her address stated that practical knowledge has to be imparted to the students in today’s world to equip them with different skills and techniques and help them to be responsible citizens.
She congratulated Shipra Bali and Nishita Sharma the co-ordinators of Classes I and II and their team for putting in efforts for the success of the programme.
