KATHUA, Apr 22: The Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K is actively engaged in conducting intramural sports competitions across various schools in all 12 sports zones of Kathua district. These competitions are designed to prepare students for the upcoming zone-level competitions, fostering their athletic abilities and promoting sportsmanship.
The competitions encompass a wide range of sporting disciplines including Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Chess, and Cricket. The participation of students in these events is crucial for their physical fitness, team collaboration and overall development.
The Departmental officials have invested sincere efforts to ensure the smooth implementation and success of these events. “The Department of Youth Services & Sports remains committed to creating opportunities for the holistic development of the students in all the 20 districts of the UT by organizing these intramural sports competitions, we strive to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the young population, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie”. Director Youth Services and Sports said.
