CRPF holds Volleyball tourney under CAP

JAMMU, Apr 22: 160 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Nagrota, Jammu organized a Volleyball tournament at BCS Camp under Civic Action Program (CAP) here today.
The teams participated in the competition were Dhok Wolf Pack, Super Kings, Thanda Pani Kings, Nagrota Tigers, Sky Drivers, Black Panthers, Team Chak Rakhwala and Jagti Tigers.
The players of all the teams displayed their talent in the competition with full zeal and enthusiasm. The final match of the competition which was conducted on knock out basis was played between Dhok Wolf Pack and Team Chak Rakhwala, in which Chak Rakhwala emerged victorious in a thrilling match.
The winning and runner-up teams were honoured with trophies and appropriate cash prizes along with Volleyball kits. Along with this, the teams that finished third and fourth were also honoured with cash prizes and Volleyballs to boost their morale. Also, the players selected as Man of the Match for each match were encouraged by giving them trophies as well as cash prizes.
Hariom Khare, Commandant 160 Battalion said that CRPF organizes such competitions from time to time under the Civic Action Program to increase the interest of regional youth towards sports and to encourage sports talents. Earlier also in the month of February, a cricket competition was organized by 160 Battalion in Khel Gaon, Nagrota. On the occasion of the closing of the competition, Raman Singh Wazir, Sarpanch Dhok Wazir, along with Ajay Wadhera, Coach and Naresh, Volleyball Coach from Khel Gaon premises were also present.
