State hockey team leaves for Sr Nationals

JAMMU, Mar 3: Selected by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council, the Senior Men Hockey Team of Jammu and Kashmir has left for Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, to participate in the 4th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship, facing Himachal Pradesh in its first match on March 6, 2014.
The screening of the team was done today at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium under the supervision of Divisional Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council in presence of the members of Hockey J&K namely Romal Singh, GS Bakshi, Tajinder Singh, Charanjit Singh and Rajinder Singh.
The team: Kishen Singh, Majar Singh, Satwant Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Bahart Singh, Inderpal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Sunil Kalsotra, Gurvachan Singh, Josth, Surinder Singh, Manjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Sikander Pal Singh, Amrinder Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Ravneet Singh, Dharminder Singh and Javed Miadad.
Jagjeet Singh is accompanying the team as coach and Iqbal Singh as manager.
