SRINAGAR, Apr 26: In line with previous directives, the Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has issued a circular to all Heads of Departments (HoDs) regarding the attendance of Senior Residents (SRs) at the institution.
Referring to notices dated December 27, 2023, and December 27, 2024, the GMC has emphasized the seriousness with which the National Medical Commission (NMC) views the attendance of SRs, highlighting attendance shortfalls in accordance with NMC norms.
The directives underlined the necessity for all HoDs to ensure their respective SRs are enrolled and registered on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
It further mandates that SRs mark their attendance twice daily in adherence to official timing. Additionally, HoDs have been instructed to provide regular updates regarding attendance compliance.
The circular issued in this regard stressed on the urgency of the matter, with a deadline set for the completion of the registration process by April 30, 2024.
It is stressed that this deadline is crucial, as compliance is being monitored by the NMC.
