JAMMU, Apr 29: The Stars’ Badminton Club Jammu, under the Aegis of Jammu City & District Badminton Association and Badminton Association of J&K will organize Pt. DD Magotra Memorial Sub Junior Jammu Open Badminton tournament at Indoor Sports Complex, M.A. Stadium Jammu, from May 4 to 6.
The statement said Pt. Durga Dass Magotra was a very senior Badminton player of J&K who remained associated with the game as a player throughout his life and was an inspiration to all others to follow the game of Badminton. He was a founder member of Stars’ Badminton Club and also remained General Secretary J&K Badminton Association.
About 150 players are expected to participate in this tournament. The matches will be conducted in Sub Junior & Mini Categories (U/11, U/13, U/15 & U/17 Boys & Girls) Singles and Doubles. The interested players can register their entries at Badminton Hall M.A. Stadium ( Touseef Ahmed & Divum Gupta, Coaches) & police lines Badminton Hall ( Sukhdev Singh, Incharge), up to May 2 (8 pm).
