SAMBA, Apr 30: The students of Humanity Public School (HPS) Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana brought laurels to the school by winning medals in Ravi Tikku Memorial Speedball Tournament-2024 organised by J&K Speedball Association in collaboration with International Delhi Public School. In all, 20 students of the school participated in it and won three gold, one silver and five bronze medals in the championship.
Among those who won gold medals were Somdev Pandey (11th), Ruhi Rajput (7th) and Zakir Hassan (6th); Aryan Sharma (6th) bagged silver medal whereas Gurmeet Singh (6th), Ridhan Sadotra (6th), Rohini Bhagat (6th), Natick Attri (9th) and Daksh Charak (6th) got bronze medals. Students have shown a fine display of sportsmanship and all the participants received participation certificates.
The students of the school who participated in this tournament were well received in the school premises by Principal Gaurav Charak, Vice Principal Anku Charak, Incharges of the wings and staff members.
A special assembly was organised to felicitate the winners wherein Principal Gaurav Charak lauded the relentless efforts of the coach Anju Parihar as well as Sports Incharge Mahaan.
