Teacher ends life by jumping in front of moving train

UDHAMPUR, May 1: In a shocking incident, a teacher allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near Udhampur Railway Station, here today.
According to Police, the deceased was identified as Rajesh Kumar (41) son of Arun Kumar, resident of Bihar, at present Udhampur. He was working in Army Public School Udhampur as Maths Teacher for the last seven years.
Rajesh Kumar ended his life today around 3:30 pm by allegedly jumping in front of moving Uttar Sampark Kranti Train, which was on way from Jammu to Katra.
On getting information, a Police team from Police Station GRP Udhampur reached the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary room of District Hospital Udhampur. After conducting the postmortem, body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The exact cause of provocation behind committing suicide could not be ascertained. A case in this connection has been registered at Police Station GRP Udhampur and further investigations are underway.
