IRCS provides relief to land sinking victims

JAMMU, May 1: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K Unit today provided essential relief to the victims of land sinking incident in Ramban.
Under the leadership of Manoj Sinha, J&K Lieutenant Governor (also President IRCS J&K) and under the supervision of Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS, J&K-UT and Deputy Commissioner Ramban, who is also District President IRCS Ramban, essential relief items were distributed to the affected families hit by the devastating land sinking in Ramban which occurred on April 26, 2024 leaving many residents homeless and affecting essential supplies.
The Red Cross team provided critical supplies including tents, Tarpaulins, Kitchen Sets, Darees, Buckets, Towels, cotton Khes etc to the victim families.
Rohit Khajuria stated: “We are deeply committed to helping our fellow citizens in times of disaster. Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that all essential relief materials reach those in dire need without any delay. We will continue to support the rehabilitation of the affected families and work closely with local authorities to enhance our disaster preparedness efforts.”
A handout stated that IRCS took up the matter with National Headquarters of Indian Red Cross Society to rush supplies of relief material so that further help can be provided to the suffering people.
