SRINAGAR, May 4: Socio-political activist Waqar H. Bhatti, accompanied by his wife Roohi Bhatti, officially joined the J&K Apni Party (JKAP) today.
They were welcomed into the party by JKAP President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.
In a statement issued by JKAP, Bukhari extended a warm welcome to the couple during a function held at the party headquarters.
He expressed his pleasure in seeing individuals of such caliber, particularly political and social leaders and activists, joining hands with the Apni Party.
He emphasized that their joining indicates recognition of the party’s clear agenda and policies.
Bukhari remarked, “Together, we can strive to ensure permanent peace and enduring prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. We can elevate this region to new heights of development and ensure the political and economic empowerment of its people.”
Roohi Bhatti, a prominent activist, previously served as a coordinator in PDP’s Youth Wing and Tribal Cell, while Waqar was associated with Awami Tehreek Party.
